Gregor the Overlander

When Gregor first learns of his role as the Warrior in the Prophecy of Gray, he is reluctant to consider himself as such; however, he knows that it’s important that he put on a confident front so that he can win allies to his side. How does Gregor grow into his role as the warrior throughout the novel and become a fair leader for the Underlanders and their allies, promoting cooperation in times of strife? Teaching Suggestion: Students may be prompted to review their pre-reading context notes and activities to refresh their memories on the characteristics of the hero archetype and steps of the Hero’s Journey.
